Black Mountain Air Service offers a 180 hp, 1969 Cessna 172 for rental and flight instruction. This airplane, with it’s extra horsepower, is perfect for the high altitudes here in the Eastern Sierra, while remaining a docile aircraft that a low time or student pilot can feel confident flying.  It’s a capable plane for crossing the Sierras and a great trainer for student pilots.

Geoff has been a Certified Flight Instructor since 1995. Whether you are interested in learning how to fly for the first time or you already have a pilot’s license and would like to learn more about flying in the mountains, we can provide the instruction you are looking for. He also does Flight Reviews and recurrent training.
